Ce qui nous lie...
Rubber bands design geometric forms that are in connection with the architecture of the space. They are manipulable and deformable according to the different tensions that are inflicted on them. They then become interactive musical instruments, which the public can play in real time. They are made musical by means of a digital system created by the artist. This idea is a reflection of the idea of ‘reverse puppet’, denoting the relationship to the other: Who controls who? Who induces movement? What are the doses of freedom and determinism in our existence? How can we exit the balance of power? How to move within a binding and changing system and find the right flexibility/tightness between autonomy and bond?
