Ensemble Sonore #3
Ensemble Sonore # 3, is an installation/composition based on the recording of multiple texts which were written at a time before, during, and after a period of one pictorial production. Parallel existences of thought and concept, loss of logical sense, false understanding… the sound of voice is saturated to the point of inaudibility. Certain variations of tones allow certain words to be heard, sometimes enabling one or another phrase to be isolated and understood. Words find themselves imprisoned, free to add up or to escape. The object is limited by its physical conditions and its primary utility is altered. The superposition and the accumulation of material give the loudspeakers a new dimension of expression.

Emmanuel Selva
Emmanuel Selva (Mons) uses plastic creation for his therapeutic purposes. He analyzes and situates his thoughts and discomforts in order to dissociate himself from them. His work combines abstract art and conceptual art. Writing and sound are sometimes integrated as the principle agent of reflection. A certain division between the mediums allows him to find the right balance between expression and that which is understood. The superposition of layers and the cancelling of one process by another one, is applied to his work as chronic jests… as if the refusal towards his emotions is a process of creation in his own right.
