Hum! Is a geolocated sound path through a smartphone application to listen with headphones 24 / 24h. The sound composition is based on interviews and environmental sound recordings in order to pay tribute to this landscape and to the people who inhabit it and transform it.
hum! Definition: ‘interjection that marks doubt, reluctance, impatience. Onomatopoeia used to discreetly signal its presence. Low frequency sound phenomenon, of unknown origin, not necessarily heard by everyone’.
The application Hum! Will be downloadable from Apple Store and Google Play.
A project realized thanks to the Commission of the Arts of Wallonia and the City of Charleroi as well as by respectively the collectif MU (F) for the realization of the application and Nouvelle Etiquette (F) for the graphic design.
