Hyde Sensorsound (installation)

Hyde SensorSound, immersive installation based on public perception, combines visual and sound effects. It uses a pendulum for the hypnotic and geometric side. A sound device and a set of shadows and lights intensify the sensory and optical nature of the structure.

Jean Baptiste Barra

A student at the ESAD (School of Art and Design) in Valenciennes, Jean Baptiste Barra has always been attracted to geometry, science, physical phenomena, and sound (ambient, experimental, concrete, electronic, noisy).

It is through this that his whole artistic approach revolves today around a predominant concept, repetition. Whether geometric, architeFctural or sound as the medium, Jean-Baptiste can experiment with a serial language through multiple media. In that field, the meeting of multiple media, can be either optical, perceptual or sensory …

The various scientific fields linked with the constant interest in sound, has enabled him to extend this approach and to come to a study of the vibration in all its forms.
