Paul Pirotte is in perpetual search for a light and a certain sensitivity. With this headset, a bright aura is caused, and covers his voice. He walks in the streets, woods and fields at night… like an insect… like a firefly. He then goes astray, in the depths of the night to enlighten the way with the use of his voice. He screams, shouts, emits sounds from elsewhere to produce energy. The antennae, the neurons of this being, illuminate its direction in space, as well as that of the nature that surrounds it.

Biography

Paul Pirotte is currently a student at the École supérieure des arts visuels de Mons Arts² (Image dans le milieu-IDM workshop). He spent his childhood and adolescence in Hyon (Mons). A dreamer, he likes to question himself about the human being as such and his interactions with nature, the spiritual, his own identity. Pencil and sculpture are his favourite supports. He sees art as a way to expel an overflowing stream of ideas, a “skylight” that carries him forward.
