Banquier (muscle, vie, hypnose)

This two-headed project was born from the meeting between Antoine Boute – writer and performer – and Vincent Matyn – director and sound artist. Combining sound poetry, political manifesto and concrete music, this philosophical-burlesque tale questions our relationship to the media, politics and engagement. The text addresses the collusion between political power, economic power and media power. The narrative unfolds in an original sound universe, made from the voice of Antoine Boute, using the modes of transformations and treatments inherited from concrete music, noise, dub and hip hop. There are five chapters, oscillating between satire and philosophy, comedy and politics; the text is at times funny, jubilant but also serious in its societal implications. The sound composition follows these movements.

Production: Radio panik, with the support of the FACR. Voice and text: Antoine Boute.
Sound composition and editing: Vincent Matyn.

Sonopoetics terminal

This work will be broadcast in a terminal. Sonopoetics is the division of City Sonic and its alter label Transonic dedicated to the crossings between sound poems / living literatures and sound art/experimental music. This selection of recent works of artists with multiple talents is presented in the form of a terminal, listening to the headphones on a good chair.

Télé Banque Hypnose (video)

On a text by Antoine Boute, a sound creation by Vincent Matyn and images by June Peduzzi. A collective work that was constituted by step.

A text, ‘Operation Biohardcore’ published by Les petits matins inspired a sound fiction (produced by Radio Panik). This one required a visual extension for an immersive cinema installation.

A tale, a play of shadows and lights, showing our relationship to the media, to technological seduction and implicitly to capitalism and finance. A philosophico-burlesque tale. Several forms intersect here: dramatic radio, storytelling and electro-acoustic composition. Five chapters that invite us to think about our relationship to money, communication, power.
