Covers for sound art pieces (exhibition - creation)

A dozen students in visual and graphic communication from the school of visual arts, Mons ARTS², have worked from sound pieces of different aesthetics in this sixteenth edition of City Sonic to create for each of them, a cover of a vinyl album. Next to each record cover, the ad hoc sound piece can be heard with headphones.

Arts2

ARTS² (arts square), School of Arts of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, is located in Mons, cultural capital of the Federation and cultural capital of the European Union for the year 2015. It results from the merger between the Conservatoire royal (Music and Theater) and the Graduate School of Plastic and Visual Arts (ESAPV), both of them rich in a long artistic tradition. For several years, Transcultures / City Sonic has been there developing its Sound and Digital Emergences program consisting of workshops and conferences.
