The Slyder (2019) (Belgian premiere)

Following a residency in 2019, at European Pepinieres of Creation in Paris (where Pepinieres is established) and in Charleroi (where Transcultures, coordinating the European Pepinieres for the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, was then based), Régis Cotentin, director, visual artist, and establisher of the ‘French Phantasmagoric’, created a new video work, of which he also composed the soundtrack. Slyder is a dreamlike dive of organic energies meeting digital flux. A disorder takes over the spirit of a survivor. The song of the chimeras of the past, push him towards the blackness of his mental screen, but a surprise awaits him when he spots the vanishing point of his memory, reflecting the present as a mirror… and the journey continues.
