Biography
Coming from the field of documentaries, it is the voices, the life trajectories, the way a landscape echoes that animate Zoé Suliko. A graduate of the IAD (Institut des Arts de Diffusion/Louvain-la-Neuve), she acquired a technical background allowing her to go from sound to image and vice versa. Member of the ACSR (Workshop of sound and radio creation), of the collective, Radio Moniek (radio cabaret), of ‘Ecoute Buissonnière’ (promotion of quality sound creation for youth in Francophonie) and ASAR (Association of sound and radio authors), she participates in several community radio stations in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation and has launched radio creations, since 2003.
Fascinated by the idea of transmission and encounter through listening, she leads sound workshops for all audiences. Zoé focuses her interest on the creation of the mental image within the sound field. She likes to think about the narrative place of the image and sound beyond the simple illustration. She did her first radio and sound creation for young audiences, in 2018 with Rascasse, le vieux marin (supported by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, ACSR and Wallonie-Bruxelles International) under the name of Zoé Suliko, adapted from the eponymous book by Frédéric Cartier-Lange. Rascasse won the Golden Trophy at the NYF, Best audiobook for children category (NY), and the Special Mention at the Ondas International Prize (Barcelona).
